Overview

2026 Tony Awards VIP Tickets

It’s fantastic that there are so many Broadway shows being produced lately because it makes the Tony Awards even better! This glamorous event might just be our personal favorite award show. Every year, more than 30 diverse productions vie for more than two dozen awards ranging from Best New Musical to Best Choreography. Although the Tonys are celebrating 79 years, they haven’t lost their glamour with age. Like any great Broadway star, they know how to celebrate in style. We can’t wait to tell you more about our VIP Tony Awards tickets and after-party passes for 2026.

When Are the 2026 Tony Awards?

The 79th Annual Tony Awards are going down on Sunday, June 7, 2026 (Estimated date) in never bored or sleepy New York City. Insiders expect the award show to return to its traditional home at the Radio City Music Hall. Naturally, VIP Concierge is standing by with VIP Tony tickets for yourself and whoever you decide to bring along for the ride and all the fun of not just the award show, but the parties! And these aren’t just neighborhood get-togethers.

The parties going down during the Tony Awards are legendary for being the coolest of the cool. They’re typically only for those with industry connections and sway. That’s just one more reason to work with VIP Concierge. You get sway by the bunch, like bananas, when you work with us. Who else can set you up with tickets to the biggest and best award show dedicated to live theater? [Cue the crickets, or maybe it should be honking taxi horns.] New York also serves up at hearty dose of nightlife whether you plan on clubbing your way through Midtown or seeing world-class jazz in Lower Manhattan.

What Are the Tony Awards?

The Tony awards are one of the big four award shows. They’re comparable to the Emmys® for achievements in television, the Grammys® for songwriting and musical performances and the Oscars®, which recognize the year’s greatest films. Just a handful of stars have been able to win one of each! EGOT winners include all-time greats like Rita Moreno, Mel Brooks, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice and Elton John, plus current champions like John Legend, Jennifer Hudson and Viola Davis.

Why are they called the Tony awards anyway? Did you know the award is officially known as the Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Broadway Theatre, but they almost always go by their nickname. Tonys are handed out jointly by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League, two theater associations that advocate for the industry and its members. The award was first conceived in 1947, and it’s been an annual tradition in New York City ever (*evah*) since.

Nominations, Revivals, Award-Winning Plays and More

Broadway’s cool because it welcomes the old, the new, the newly old and the oldly new. In other words, revivals! Plays that were hot in the past are dug out of the storage locker, dusted off, recast and reborn–usually to the kind of accolades that new films or songs get. New plays are treated like treasure maps. And stage versions of books and films invariably find the path to the great white way.

Theater stays the same by changing. Every show is different, and every night brings something new. This is true on Broadway and during the industry’s biggest award show. Like any Broadway fan, we get excited about the long list of nominees. And we love to speculate about who will be chosen for their work over the 2025-2026 season. If you really want to nerd out, check out Broadway Best Friend’s “Way Too Early Tony Predictions” on YouTube!

In addition to honoring hard-working Broadway stars, the Tonys have recognized Hollywood stalwarts like Jessica Lange, Billy Crystal, Hugh Jackman and Sam Rockwell. Innovators like Joel Gray and John Kander have been honored for their career achievements. Don’t you wish you could have been there to see these iconic moments?

What to Expect at the 2026 Tony Awards

The Tony Awards honor the year’s best plays, musicals and revivals, but fans are treated to a whole lot more. Awards are presented by A-list stars that represent a who’s who of the stage and screen.

  • In 2025, Tonys were handed out acting greats like Bryan Cranston, Keanu Reeves, Lea Michele, Jean Smart, Sara Paulson, and Adam Lambert.
  • Host Cynthia Erivo and singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles wowed the crowd with a duet of “Tomorrow,” and fans enjoyed over a dozen other stupendous live performances.
  • The award show featured the ensemble from Pirates! The Penzance Musical and the Buena Vista Social Club as well as selections from Death Becomes Her, Just in Time and Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Sunset Boulevard. Audra McDonald even sang “Rose’s Turn” from Gypsy, despite being snubbed at trophy time.
  • Highlights of the most recent ceremony include Branden Jacob-Jenkins’ Purpose winning Best Play after he scored Best Revival just two years earlier. Maybe Happy Ending won six Tonys, including Best Musical, while Death Becomes Her won just one of it’s 10 nominations, showing just how unpredictable and exciting this award show can be.

Award Categories

If you attend the award show with VIP tickets, you’ll have a chance to see trophies handed out in over 20 categories, including:

  • Best Play
  • Best Musical
  • Best Revival
  • Best Performance
  • Best Direction
  • Best Score
  • Best Design, Lighting and Decor
  • Best Choreography

After-Party Passes for the Tonys

After the award show, the fun heats up with celebrity-hosted bashes that go strong until the wee, small hours of the early morning. In New York, you know they’re going to have amazing people and incredible eats. From smash burgers and Frosted Flakes to paella and ethnic specialties, the food at these parties is as diverse as the attendees.

At past parties, our VIPs have enjoyed champagne and fresh fruit while rocking out to the Spice Girls and hanging out with celebrities like Josh Groban, Michelle Williams, Ben Platt and Alex Newell. We can get you and your crew into some of the hottest (and coolest) Tony after-parties. Make sure to sign up for our email list to receive updates when tickets drop!

Book Your VIP Tickets to the 79th Annual Tony Awards

Since the nominees and celebrity guests are too numerous to list, we’ll conclude by bringing you the good news that we have VIP tickets to the 2026 Tony Awards. Typically, we have a selection of mid-section mezzanine tickets that will put you front and center at one of New York City’s most storied venues. We also have passes to the star-studded after-parties that you really, really want. Give us a call, or join our email list to learn more about our VIP ticket options.

Don’t delay. Pick up a pair or two before they sell out! Someone else is probably watching the calendar too. Get your tickets to the Tony Awards and any other plays that you’d like to see on or off Broadway before that other person buys them all. We’d hate to see that happen to you. That would be a tragedy worthy of Aeschylus or Arthur Miller. Get in touch with VIP Concierge, and be there for the Tony Awards’ 79th edition!
