2027 VIP Met Gala After-Party Tickets
Traditionally held on the first Monday in May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Met Gala is THE celebrity party of the year! That puts the next edition of this prestigious fundraiser on Monday, May 3, 2027, (expected date). We have VIP tickets to a very special Met Gala Viewing Party & Dinner, and we can’t wait for all the VIP after-parties to be announced. At the moment, we’re just waiting on the final details: the who, the what and the where. We’re 90% there, and we’re 100% sure it’s going to be amazing!
This Year’s Met Gala Theme
We’re anxiously waiting for organizers to announce the theme for the upcoming year. It’s an important decision because it doesn’t just influence what people wear. It determines the flavor, no the essence, of the entire evening. Organizers typically announce the theme for the Met Gala in late February, but we’re already on pins and needles.
Last year’s theme was Costume Art, which was designed to symbolize the body’s role as a blank canvas for sculptural and artistic expression for designers and fashion lovers alike. The dress code was Fashion Is Art. If you even glanced at the red carpet photos with the structural gowns and artistic couture creations, you know that the attendees really delivered. Emma Chamberlain’s hand-painted gown was a standout, while Gigi Hadid’s sheer dress with control-top granny panties bombed.
The theme also aligns with the Costume Institute’s annual exhibit. In 2026, the museum show featured approximately 400 hand-picked outfits paired with inspirational paintings and sculptures. No matter the theme for 2027, it’s sure to lend itself to a wild, raucous and memorable party!
Who Attends the Met Gala?
The Met Gala has earned a reputation for prestige due in part to its top-secret, uber-selective guest list … and maybe the $300,000 a chair price tag. Inflation has even hit the 1% hard, with prices raising substantially from just a few years ago. Frankly, you can’t put a price on this type of event. That’s why the Met Costume Institute invites just a few hundred A-list celebrities each year. Given the fashion-forward theme, it’s not surprising that many familiar faces from New York Fashion Week attended the event, including Stella McCartney, Tom Ford, Thom Browne, Tory Burch, Vera Wang, Zac Posen and Tommy Hilfiger with his wife Dee.
