GET READY FOR THE 32ND VMA AWARDS

October 10,2015

The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards are back in Los Angeles again. The show was returned to the left coast last year after a brief foray into Brooklyn, New York, which is just fine with us. We like awards shows in Los Angeles, especially those that celebrate music or videos, and the VMAs honor both. There really is no reason any show shouldn’t be in the City of Lights, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t be there for it. The 32nd annual VMA Awards is happening on August 30 this year, so be sure to mark your calendar, and while you’re at it, pick up a few tickets for you and your crew. You can do that right here.

We have Hospitality tickets in the talent/celebrity section, Red Carpet credentials and even VIP limo passes. Of course, you could watch it at home or over at your friend’s house, but how mundane would that be? Might as well wait and read about it in the morning. Being there is the only way to really get the full experience. The excitement is palpable, the performances are incredible and the outfits are incredible. The VMAs are broadcast in over 150 countries around the globe, so it truly is a worldwide phenomenon–and you can be a part of it. All you need are tickets, and you’ll be good to go.

The nominations haven’t come in yet, but it’s safe to say that the usual suspects will be up for the moon man trophies. Last year’s show seemed especially weighted toward hip hop. It was recently announced that hip hop has had more of an influence on modern pop music than even the Beatles. I’m not sure how they figured that out, but they did. Beyonce was holding court and raking in the awards. Nicki Minaj not only performed twice, she also had a wardrobe malfunction. Rumor has it that the “accident” wasn’t an accident at all, and that she had the same thing happen during rehearsals. Hmmm. Maybe she’ll do it again this year. We can only hope.

Top honors included some new faces and old favorites. Ed Sheeran and Pharrell Williams shared an award for Best Male Video. Miley Cyrus took top honors for her Wrecking Ball video, beating out Beyonce, Sia, Pharrell Williams and Iggy Azalea. Katy Perry scored in the Best Female Video category with Dark Horse featuring Juicy J. You can bet that when the nominations come rolling in that those folks will all be fighting it out again.

Which artists will be performing is anybody’s guess at this point, but one thing’s for sure. The show is going to be great. Better than great. It’ll be monumental. So don’t monkey around. Buy your tickets, pick out a new outfit and get your hair done. There’s a riot going on August 30 called the VMA Awards and it’s going to be an absolute blast. Don’t delay or you may end up crying in your beer. This year’s show is a must-see and you must see it in person.

Fire up your credit card and secure your seats to the VMA right now. You’ll make everybody jealous and you’ll have one hell of a good time.
