Who’s Hosting the 2026 ESPY® Awards?
Retired tennis champ Serena Williams did a phenomenal job hosting the 32nd annual ESPY® Awards in 2024! She kept the crowd entertained while managing seven different wardrobe changes, and she even sang a song for her former competitor Maria Sharapova! It was a touch act to follow, but stand-up comedy veteran and podcaster Shane Gillis held down the fort. From jokes about the president to the players’ wives, no topic was off-limits. We can’t wait to see who ESPN selects to MC in 2026, and we’ll let you know as soon as more details are released.
Who Are the Nominees for the 2026 ESPY® Awards?
Nominees for the 34th annual ESPY® Awards are yet to be released. We expect ESPN to share the full list of contenders in late June ahead of the July 15th award show. Who’s likely to be on the list? We expect to see fan favorites like Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Brock Purdy, breakout NASCAR driver Christopher Bell, snowboarder Chloe Kim, sister act Alex and Gretchen Walsh and maybe even the U.S. Men’s Ice Hockey Team. Who Won Awards at the 2025 ESPYs®?
The 2025 edition of the ESPYs® was huge for sports fans and the celebrities themselves! Top winners include Saquon Barkely for Best Play and Best NFL Player and Simone Biles for Best Championship Performance and Best Athlete in Women’s Sports. Sloane Stephens scored the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award for her foundation work providing sports and educational programs to underprivileged youth, while Coco Gauff was named Best Tennis Player. Rugby powerhouse and SI cover girl Ilona Maher was named Best Breakthrough Athlete. Other big winners include the Philadelphia Eagles (Best Team), OKC’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Best Athlete – Men’s Sports), Alexander Ovechkin (Best Record-Breaking Performance), Caitlin Clark (Best WNBA Player) and Noah Elliott (Best Athlete With a Disability) for para snowboarding.
