PRIMETIME EMMY NOMINEES ANNOUNCED

October 10,2015

All right, boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, cats and kittens everywhere. All the parts are in place and the wheels are in motion for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards. This year’s gala gala will be held at the Nokia Theatre in sweet sunny Los Angeles, where the primetime rubber is going to hit the road on September 20. We have tickets for the show here at vipawardshowtickets.com, so you don’t have to feel left out of the action. We even have VIP passes for some of the fancy-schmancy after parties.

Adam Samberg, who has won his own Emmy in 2007 for his work on Saturday Night Live, will be hosting the event. Bruce Rosenblum, chairman and CEO of the Television Academy said that he’s excited to have secured the spot for Samberg and that “Andy has excelled in all aspects of the television universe, both from behind and in front of the camera. His humor, insights and charisma will be an exciting addition to our annual celebration of television’s best and brightest.” That’s pretty high praise from a pretty large pooh-bah. Samberg currently stars in the Fox series, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” for which he won a Golden Globe just last year.

Samberg was his usual cryptic self when he announced that he got the gig. He said, “Buckle your seat belts, Emmy viewers! Like, in general you should buckle your seat belts in your car. In fact, even if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should buckle your seat belt. It can be dangerous on the road. Also, if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should strongly consider becoming one this year, because I’m hosting, and it’s gonna be a wild ride.”

Let’s get to some of the nominations. “Mad Men” and “House of Cards” both received multiple nominations. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright both earned nods again for Lead Actor and Actress in a Drama, while HoC is also in the mix for Outstanding Drama Series.
