NEIL PATRICK HARRIS GETS THE TONY CALL AGAIN
For the fourth time in the last five years and the third year in a row, multi-talented Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting the Tony Awards. The 67th edition of the show will be aired live on CBS at 8/7c on June 9 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Harris will also co-produce the show as he did last year with White Cherry Entertainment’s Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss. In typical Harris absurdist fashion, he said the show will be 267 times bigger than last year’s extravaganza, and that it will rock.
VIP Concierge has VIP tickets to the awards show that honors the best in theatrical achievement. The Tony Awards have all the excitement of a live Broadway performance bundled together with the exuberance of an awards show. The awards themselves are loaded with great live performances. Per usual, it’s certain the show will open with one of Harris’s trademarked song and dance numbers. He’s sure come a long way since he starred on Doogie Howser, M.D.
This year’s show will honor Boston’s Huntington Theatre Company with the 2013 Regional Theater Award. The Tony Awards Administration Committee said that Huntington is one of Boston’s leading professional theaters that consistently features world class artists and direction. The theater also concentrates on encouraging playwrights and young artists, finding new plays and lending their support to other theaters. The Huntingdon is currently showing a play by Provincetown’s Ryan Landry entitled “M.”
Whether you’re a fan of anything having to do with the theater or if you just really like Neil Patrick Harris, you deserve to be there for the live 67th Tony Awards Show. It’s part performance, part award show and 100% exciting. VIP Concierge has VIP tickets for your entire crew or for just a crew of two. It’ll be one of the best things you do all summer.
