COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL MAKES PEOPLE DO A DOUBLE-TAKE

October 10,2015

Coachella must seem like deja vu all over again to some people-most specifically the folks with tickets to both weekends. That’s because Coachella is the only music festival that spans two entire consecutive weekends and has the nerve to do the exact same lineup both times. The good thing about the unusual format is that you can see bands that you missed who were playing on a different stage, or you can watch your favorite acts again. Either way is a win-win situation, especially if you have VIP passes to the show. Those passes are more than just tickets-they get you into the VIP zones of the festival, where the stars congregate before and after their performances.

The party is spread out over the weekends of April 12 to 14 and 19 to 21. The non-stop rocking includes such veterans as Lou Reed, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Wu-Tang Clan, The Red, Hot Chili Peppers and, perhaps, just maybe-wait for it-wait for it-The Rolling Stones have been rumored to be performing. They’ll be on tour at that time, so despite assurances to the contrary, you never know. It might be time for “Sympathy for the Devil!”

With or without the Rolling Stones, there will be more music than you could possibly hear in one weekend–or two, for that matter. Some of the other acts that will be performing at Coachella are the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, New Order, Modest Mouse, How to Destroy Angels, Sigur Rós, Vampire Weekend, Of Monsters and Men, Bassnectar, The xx, Grinderman, Passion Pit, The Postal Service, Baauer, Beardyman, Earl Sweatshirt, Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine, Little Green Cars and The Airborne Toxic Event. Plus, there are many, many, many more bands. Did I mention there are many more bands in addition to the aforementioned acts?

So, now that you realize that you’ll die if you don’t go to Coachella, you really need to jump up and buy the VIP passes. They give you access to extra food vendors, bars, comfortable furniture and-perhaps the most vital-extra bathrooms with sinks that are carved from ivory and trimmed in gold. OK, we made the ivory and gold part up. But we’re not kidding about how cool it is to go to Coachella with VIP passes. Luckily for you, VIP Concierge can put them in your hot little hands.
