When Are the 2027 ACM Awards?
Dick Clark Productions, the organization that televises The Academy of County Music Awards, confirmed that the event is going down on May 16th, 2027, in Las Vegas, Nevada, a.k.a. Sin City, USA. For the second consecutive year, the event will return to the storied MGM Grand Garden Arena, which has hosted the Latin Grammys®, the Billboard Music Awards and even the Grammys®. The award show starts at 8 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Pacific with streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The red carpet entrances start an hour earlier as all the country stars and their hot dates strut into the arena.
What’s Happening at the 2027 ACM Awards?
Over the past several years, the ACMs have hopped across the country visiting Dallas, Las Vegas and three storied Nashville venues, including the Opry House, the Bluebird Café and the Ryman Auditorium. For 2027, the party is returning to its home at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas. Recognized as the home of the ACMs, the venue hosted the event from 2003 to 2019. The award show was also held at Sin City’s Allegiant Stadium before moving to Frisco, Texas, a few years ago. Y’all, we’re so excited that the ACMs are returning to Vegas, one of the funnest cities on earth!
Naturally, anticipation is already high for this celebration of the best of the best in country music award shows. Last year’s event was hosted by country music superstar Shania Twain, one of country music’s favorite and most enduring performers. With several ACM Awards under her belt, she knows more than a little about award shows. You can bet your turquoise Tony Lama boots that the ante will be raised once again with high-voltage bedazzled suits and a never-ending stream of your favorite stars as the country music award show celebrates its 62nd anniversary.
World-Class Performances and Presenters
Last year, the award show featured nearly 20 performers from some of today’s most popular bands and singers. Fans were wowed by mini-concerts from Riley Green, Zach Top, Blake Shelton, Cody Johnson, Ella Langley, Kacey Musgraves, Lee Ann Womack, Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert. Little Big Town, Dan + Shay and the Red Clay Strays also entertained the A-list crowd. There were literally too many performers to mention individually! From a technical standpoint, the ACMs achieve extraordinary production standards. However, when you’re there in person with your VIP tickets sitting in your premium floor seats, none of this matters. Who Attends the ACMs?

Ella Langley swept the award show in 2026, winning all seven categories she was nominated in. This comes after the “Choosin’ Texas” singer took home five ACM awards in 2025, during her first appearance at the award show. Texas native Cody Johnson took home two of the biggest awards, with wins for Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the Year. Miranda Lambert and Stephen Wilson Jr., a former microbiologist and Indiana state boxing champ, also claimed multiple wins.
Who else was there? How about Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town, The War and Treaty and Chris Stapleton, who was accompanies by his wife Morgane. Keith Urban, Shaboozey, Ashley McBryde, Michael Bublé, NASCAR driver Carl Edwards and football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick were among the presenters.
First-time nominees at the 61sst annual ACM Awards included 49 Winchester, Avery Anna, Mackenzie Carpenter, Carter Faith, Caroline Jones, Vincent Mason and Hudson Westbrook. Meanwhile country music legends Brooks & Dunn received an award for Duo of the Year after more than 35 years performing together.
